The team of biathletes of Ural State Mining University came back from Krasnoyarsk to Yekaterinburg with the Cup and medals. Ten students of Mining won the final rounds of the Student Games in sprinter race, in relay race, in pursuit race and beat even the teams of Siberian Universities.  Biathletes of Tyumenskiy State University got the second prize, and the team of Sibirskiy State University of Railways from Novosibirsk got the third prize and stood on the 3rd step of the victory podium. As many as 11 Russian University teams took part in Winter Student Games. It is worth mentioning the fact that this type of competitions was resumed for the first time since 1980.

    Candidates to the national team in biathlon were selected at the Student Games. They will take part in World Winter Student Games in Turkey in 2011. Students of Ural State Mining University Nataliya Yegoshina, Kirill Kudryashov, Aleksand Volkov were invited to the Russian national team. At present they are getting ready for national championship.
